- I copied it to my mac (osx 10.6.5 with MATLAB R2009b) using a USB memory stick and tried to work on the files on my computer. When starting the GUI, some of the callbacks are executed, some not. I was able to open the figure file containing the GUI in GUIDE, but there cannot click on the callback fields in the Property inspector.

Choose one of these ways to start MATLAB®.
When you start MATLAB, it automatically adds the userpath folder to the search path. MATLAB also reopens any desktop components that were open when you last shut down.
To customize startup, see Specify Startup Options.
The MATLAB startup folder is the folder you are in when you get the MATLAB prompt. To change the default startup folder, see MATLAB Startup Folder.
If MATLAB fails to start due to a problem with required system components such as Java® software, then diagnostics run automatically. The software advises you of the problem and offers suggestions to correct it. For information about other startup problems, see MATLAB Installation, Activation & Startup Help.
Start from Applications Folder
Double-click the MATLAB icon in the
matlabrootmatlabrootwith the name of the folder in which you installed MATLAB.
The startup folder is the last working folder from the previous MATLAB session or the custom path specified in the Initial working folder preference described in General Preferences.
Start from Terminal Window
To start from the Terminal window, you need to know the value of
matlabroot, the full path to the folder where MATLAB is installed. If you do not know the path, then open MATLAB from the Applications folder, typematlabroot, and note the value. Exit MATLAB.Open a Terminal window.
Navigate to the following location from your terminal window:
Start MATLAB.
The startup folder is the MATLAB installation folder.

End User Instructions
How to Download the Installer:
- Go to University of Arizona MATLAB Portal to download the software.
- Click ‘Sign in to get started’ under the Get MATLAB and Simulink section.
- You will be asked to create a MathWorks Account if you do not have an existing one. Once you do so, you will be associated to our MATLAB license.
- If you are a returning MatLab user you will be prompted to use your university credentials (NetID) login and password.
- Click the download button for the current release. Note: Users can also download previous releases at this location.
- Choose a supported platform (e.g., Win, Mac, Linux) and download the installer.
- Now you will be able to:
- Download and activate software on your personal computer
- Start using MATLAB Online from a web browser
How to Install and Activate:
- Run the installer.
- In the installer, select Log in with a MathWorks Account and follow the online instructions.
- When prompted to do so, select the Academic – Total Headcount license labeled Individual.
- Select the products you want to download and install.
- After downloading and installing your products, keep the Activate MATLAB checkbox selected and click Next.
- Follow the prompts to activate MATLAB.

- If you are not familiar with MATLAB, please complete the two hour MATLAB Onramp tutorial that can also be found on University of Arizona MATLAB Portal under ‘Learn to use MATLAB and Simulink’.
